The Florida Society ACOFP members have delegated the management responsibility for the society to the FSACOFP Board of Trustees. This board of Florida osteopathic family physicians provides leadership and decision-making on issues affecting Florida osteopathic family physicians.
Terms for these positions run from one to three years, depending on the position and time of appointment. Florida Society ACOFP Board of Trustee meetings are held quarterly, with at least two of these meetings being held in person at each of the two current osteopathic medical colleges in Florida (Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida and the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida).
To assist the Florida Society ACOFP Board of Trustees with its many projects on behalf of the membership, a large number of committees have been formed to review these projects and recommend actions to the board. A review of each of these committees is provided on this website. Committee membership is open to any Florida Society ACOFP member in good standing and no previous society experience is required! For more information on a particular committee or to join a committee, please contact the chair of that committee through the email links provided in the committees section of this website.
